The town of Smixi, one of the numerous breath-taking highland villages of the region of Grevena, is located 38 km from the town of Grevena.

Smixi is situated in the valley of the river Smixiotikos, 1.250m above the sea level and is the last village before the ski centre of Vasilitsa (6 km distance), which is regarded as one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Greece.
